The Britax Römer EVOLVAFIX is a car seat approved under the new UN R129/03 regulation suitable for children from 76 cm and 15 months up to 150 cm. Thanks to the FLIP & GROW function, it allows you to quickly switch from the 5-point harness (76-105 cm or 22 kg) to the 3-point belt with SecureGuard (100-150 cm). 76-105 cm: 5-point harness. From 76 cm and 15 months until 105 cm or 22 kg (whichever comes first), the child is restrained with the 5-point harness, which distributes the impact forces over five points: two at the shoulders, two at the hips and one at the buckle between the legs. Soft chest pads reduce the child´s forward movement in the event of an impact and make the harness more comfortable. 100-150 cm: 3-point belt with SecureGuard. From 100 cm and up to 150 cm, the occupant is restrained directly with the vehicle´s 3-point belt in combination with the fourth anchorage point SecureGuard. It ensures that the lap belt remains in the optimum position over the pelvic bones, preventing the lap belt from rising dangerously upwards towards the abdominal area. SecureGuard helps to reduce the abdominal forces by up to 35% in the event of a frontal impact. Easy transition with FLIP&GROW. When it´s time to leave the harness and switch to the 3-point belt, the transition is much easier thanks to the FLIP&GROW function. There is no need to remove anything from the car seat, avoiding the potential loss of components and allowing a group change at any time. Just press a button to unlock the headrest and raise it to the required height, and store the harness (without removing the chest pads) in the backrest behind the cover so that it does not get lost. Then, switch the FLIP&GROW adjustment plate so the SecureGuard is above the seat and you´re ready to go. V-shaped headrest. The V-shaped headrest of the EVOLVAFIX has been designed to keep head movement under control in the event of a side impact, as well as providing comfort. It can be easily adjusted, together with the 5-point harness (76-105 cm), to accommodate the child´s growth. EasyRecline for comfort. The EasyRecline system allows the seat to recline in 3 comfortable positions, even when the child is in the seat and without having to readjust the Top Tether. Side protection. This evolving car seat offers side impact protection from head to hip thanks to the backrest with deep, soft padded side wings. Separate Isofix connectors. For even easier installation, the EVOLVAFIX Isofix connectors are independent, which means they can be attached to the car´s Isofix anchorages one after the other. The Top Tether minimises the rotation of the car seat and therefore reduces possible damage to the head and neck area in the event of an accident. Installation options. 76 cm and 15 months - 105 cm or 22 kg. - Isofix and Top Tether (universal approval). 100-150 cm. There are two options: - With Isofix and 3-point belt. If the car has i-Size seats, it is directly compatible (no need to check the list of approved vehicles). If the car does not have i-Size seats, compatibility must be checked in the Britax Römer Fit Finder. - With 3-point belt (universal approval). In both cases, a test installation is recommended to ensure that the car offers sufficient space to fully raise the head restraint. Quick-remove cover. The padded cover is easily removed for machine washing without removing the harness. The chest pads can also be removed for washing. Three car seats in a row. With a width of 44 cm, it is possible to fit three car seats in the rear seats of many cars, especially those with i-Size seats or ISOFIX in all three seats. Car seat specifications.
