The Big- Baitrunners are back and they are fully stocked with the best Shimano technologies. The reels feature a large AR-C spool with slow oscillation in combination with the Aero Wrap II line lay system. This combination ensures maximum distance casting performance. Also on these reels the X-Ship system is present ensuring a smooth power transfer and stability of the gears thanks to the two-point support of the pinion gear by ball bearings. Internally all 4 ball bearings are shielded A-RB for increased durability and the gears have been redesigned to minimise friction and increase power transfer from the long aluminum handle to the rotor. This delivers more torque and winding power making fish playing easier and delivering more control. Available in two sizes, the Big size, with its awesome casting performance is perfect for the largetst carp waters, whilst the smaller Medium version is the ideal choice for medium sized waters where casting distance isnt the most important requirement. Both the Big- and Medium Baitrunner will be supplied with line reducers. Technology: Hagane Gear: - The HAGANE Drive Gear is produced by Shimanos coldforging technology, without the need for additional machining. This delivers a longlasting smoothness, strength, lightness and power at the very heart of the reel. Traditional diecast, machined gears are less durable under heavy loads. XShip: - XShip is a combination of features that work together to create much greater efficiency. By positioning the pinion gear close to the centre line of the large diameter drive gear, more power is transferred from the handle to the rotor. The pinion gear is also supported by two Shimano ARB roller bearings. This creates more stability. Aero Wrap II: - Aero Wrap and the advanced Aero Wrap II is a worm gear oscillation system with a specially designed pitch to create optimal oscillation speeds. This provides superb uniform line lay to reduce loss of energy during the cast. Aero Wrap II is considered one of the best line lay systems in the world. Cold Forged Aluminium: - Cold Forged aluminium is used for some round reels, fly reels and is also used for many types of spool. Made from one single piece of aluminium Cold Forging produces great strength. Super Stopper II: Super Stopper II eliminates backward movement and free play in the handle when the reel is set in antireverse. S ARB: - Shimano S ARB bearings are high corrosion resistant ARB ball bearings with an extra shield for improved protection against sand, salt or dust.
